We are open every weekend from 11am to 5pm.

inside the new Turnip House
We are a craft partnership establised in 1987 in The Mournes. We make hand loomed knitwear and felt products in our workshop. We also serve home made cakes and soup.
This year we have embraced a new project in the townland of Benraw in the Dromara hills.
We love our new home, and are sure you will too.
Our aim is:
To continue what we set out to do in 1987 -
shift the work/life balance
gain more connection with nature and landscape
try to take less and give more
focus on life's real priorities
What does this mean in practice? Well, that's the journey!
In the next few years the plan is:
aim towards a more sustainable lifestyle
live in the Mournes AONB
earn our living by means of craft
make and sell knitwear and knitted felt products
open a tea room and craft shop at the Turnip House
create an open, creative space for others to enjoy and participate in

Felt Making Workshops
Elaine will be running more of the felt making workshops over the summer.
Learn to make felt. Elaine will guide you through the process of felting to make magical items from wool fibres such as:
flowers
bags
hats
textile art
vases
The workshops, for small groups, run from 11am to 3pm at the Turnip House
The cost is £25 per head and includes lunch and materials.
You will be able to create a piece to take home!
Workshop Dates
In the autumn we have no workshops scheduled, however we can do workshops to suit your timetable during the week or at weekends.
If you have 3 or more friends to join you, just let us know when you would like to do it!
